About This Truck:
I purchased this truck in October of 2019 with 34,445 original miles on it. This is a very special truck because of its unique and rare story. It was a One-Owner California Truck since new. The original owner that I purchased it from was a U.S. Marine and he custom ordered it from his friend’s Ford dealership. His friend Owned “Van Dyck Motors” in Trona, California. This was the U.S. Marine’s dream truck. He went into his friend’s Ford dealership and custom ordered everything that you see on this truck. I have the Original Dealer Order Receipt Printout of all the options he selected (Plus the Original Window Sticker and so much more). He then waited for this truck to be built by Ford Motor Company’s Kansas City Assembly Plant. It was Shipped Through “Los Angeles Preparation Center” in Mira Loma, California. Pre-Delivery Inspection was completed on 8/30/1990 at “Van Dyck Motors” in Trona, CA. When the U.S. Marine Returned home on 9/6/1990 his friend that owned Van Dyck Motors had the truck sitting in the his garage at home as a surprise. On 10/27/1990 the Marine had the Rhino Linings done to the bed of the truck to protect it and keep it in the top condition you see today (Original Work Order for it on file). On 8/23/1991 he had the Brite-Side Running Boards installed (Original Invoice for it on file). On 4/30/2004 he had the BedLocker Electric Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover installed (Original Invoice for it on file). The Bedlocker is one of the best features on this truck, as it protects any items in the bed of the truck from getting stolen, wet or sun damaged. This truck was cared for and loved like none other by the Original owner its entire life. Big Red was always parked in his garage. Some of the things I asked to be left with the truck when I purchased it, which I love, are the U.S.M.C. Bulldog Rubber Mats, United States Marine Corps Badge on the Front Grill, Disabled American Veterans Life Member Sticker, National Rifle Association Life Member Sticker, and Retired U.S. Marine Corps License Plate Frame. All of these items, to me, mean alot to the history and character of the truck. You will be able to see from all the photos and videos the amazing condition of this truck. The Marine kept immense service records over the years in order by date. He even kept a gas mileage log the first 5,671 miles to know exactly how Big Red trended on gas usage. I just had the truck serviced, 2/19/2020 at Kearny Mesa Ford Dealership, in San Diego, California. The Ford dealership completed a Multi-Point Inspection “Vehicle Report Card” as Recommended by Ford Motor Company and “Big Red” received green checks on every single system/part checked. When the service was completed and I picked up the truck the service manager said to me, “This is the nicest used truck I’ve ever seen!”. This 1991 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty 4x2 Super Cab XLT Lariat is the real deal. It’s Heavy Duty, Long 155” Wheelbase, Equipped with 7.5L EFT V8 Engine, 8-Lug HD Wheels, Dual Gas Tanks, Power Everything and is ready to go. This is an extremely rare opportunity to purchase a truck from the 90’s in this type of condition with these options. In my opinion, it should be in the Ford Museum.
